Live-Blogging at Canada 3.0 – Wikinomics and Macrowikinomics Guru

Anthony Williams gave us some tidbits from his latest book, Macrowikinomics, this afternoon at Canada 3.0. Three ideas that may be of interest to digital innovators in the private and public sectors:
- Share some IP and see what others do with it. Who knows where someone will take your good idea?
- Put customers on your design team — Lego is the best example of this, engaging users from four to ninety-four in product development and giving the winning designers five percent of product royalties.
- Challenge your community to help you solve a problem — like the grad student in astrophysics who asked for help from his community (of about 6,000 astrophysicists) to help classify galaxies, and got responses from 250,000 people!
Great food for thought here today at Canada 3.0 — more to come tomorrow!
